My name is Michelle. I am orignally from Oregon but went to school in PA. I just graduated in May with a B.A. in Peace and Political Studies. I accepted a volunteer position with Hillel Uruguay and moved to Montevideo August 4th.
I know very little Spanish (not enough to get by) and only know the people I work with. I looked into taking Spanish courses but since I am here on a volunteer position I cannot afford any formal classes. I was wondering if anyone knew of a more affordable way to learn that is still somewhat structured, or if anyone would be willing to give me lessons in exchange for coffee a few times a week.
As a young woman ( I am 22) traveling alone to a country where I cannot speak the langauge I am anxious to meet anyone who can help me with my transition.
Hello Michelle, as i see you have moved here on August. Are you getting around fine by now? Let me know if there is something i can do for you. All the best,
