Maternity Clothes Shops

Luckily, I still have most of my maternity clothes from when I was pregnant with

Zoƫ. However, there are a few things I would like to pick up. I found the maternity clothes store that's down off Avenida Brasil, a couple blocks up from the Rambla (can't think of the name of it off hand), but that's the only one I've found so far. The selection was minimal and it was VERY overpriced. Does anyone know of any other maternity clothes shops in the Montevideo area?

Hello Chrystal,

First, welcome to Uruguay! I just found the blog and forum and I must confess I enjoyed a lot your posts. I have a couple comments to do:

1) About babies, my girl is not such a baby anymore, she is 4 yo, but we used this a lot in the past and I think it is still useful: http://www.tubebe.com.uy/tb/web/index.php Tu bebe has a TV show (I think they still have it...) a separata with El Observador and the web site. You will find there a lot of information, including clothes :)

2) Cities. I read you are looking for a smaller city to move on. Me too :) I am uruguayan if that's not obvious by now, born in Montevideo, but I would love to live in a smaller place. Among my options is Minas. It really depends on what you are looking for, but it is a small city, 1.5 away from MVD, just a few minutes away from Piriapolis or Punta del Este. All surrounded by small hills, it has a lot of nice places around to enjoy. I find many advantages in this city, as it is not expensive, close enough, and does not turn into a crowded place in summer.

Well, those were my 2 cents. In case you need anything else or simply have a question, just drop me a line. You have a beautiful daughter certainly! Congratulations and again, welcome!

Kisses

Thanks so much for all of the information Esteban. I'll definitely check out that website. We'll have to look into Minas a little more. Sounds nice.

Hi again,

This is not a secret, but you might not be aware that from Nov 6 until Nov 8 Latu will held "bablylandia". Probably you will find a lot of things and service providers there, plus children activities. I think it worth checking this out.

Have a great week!
